This policy explains what personal information NIGHT OWLS PRIVATE LIMITED ("Night Owls", "we", "us") collects through our mobile apps and this website, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Who we are

Night Owls Private Limited is a company registered in Nepal. Our registered office is at Ward No. 16, Nayabazar, Kathmandu 44600, Nepal. You can reach us at bhuwanenoch@gmail.com.

What this policy covers

This policy covers this website and the apps we publish on Google Play and the App Store, listed on our home page. Some apps also have their own privacy policy, linked from the app and its store listing, which describes that app in more detail. Where the two differ, the app's own policy applies to that app.

Information we collect

Information you give us. For example, your name, email address or phone number when you create an account; content you post, such as listings, reviews, messages, photos or recordings; and anything you send us when you ask for help.
Information from your device. When you use an app, we may collect your device model, operating system, app version, crash reports and how features are used. To send notifications you have allowed, we keep a notification token for your device.
Location. Only if you allow it, and only for features that need it, such as showing things near you. You can turn location access off at any time in your phone's settings.
Sign-in with Apple or Google. If you choose to sign in this way, we receive your name and email address from that service.
Payments. If an app offers a purchase, Google Play or the App Store processes it. We never receive your card details.

How we use it

To run the apps and the features you use, including your account and sign-in.
To show other people the content you choose to make public, such as a listing or a review.
To send notifications you have turned on, and to reply when you contact us.
To keep our apps safe, and to prevent fraud, spam and abuse.
To fix problems and improve our apps.
To meet our legal obligations.

Advertising

Some of our free apps show ads from Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier and approximate location to show and measure ads, under Google's advertising policies. You can reset or limit the use of this identifier in your device settings: on Android under Settings, Google, Ads; on iPhone under Settings, Privacy & Security, Tracking.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:

With service providers that run parts of our apps for us, such as cloud hosting and storage, sign-in, notifications, ads, and AI-assisted writing features. They may use the information only to provide their service to us.
With Apple and Google when you sign in with them or download our apps from their stores.
With other users, for content you choose to make public.
When the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and others.

Where it is stored and how we protect it

Your information is stored on servers run by our service providers, which may be outside Nepal, for example in India or the United States. We use encryption in transit and limit access to the people and systems that need it. No method of storage or transfer is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active, or as long as we need it to provide the service. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal information, except where the law requires us to keep it.

Your choices

You can see, correct or delete your information. Many of our apps let you delete your account from within the app. You can also email us to ask.
You can turn off location, notifications, camera and microphone access at any time in your phone's settings.
We aim to reply to every privacy request within 30 days.

Children

Our apps are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

This website

This website does not use cookies or analytics. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to keep the site secure and working.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top. For significant changes, we will also tell you in the affected apps.
